The panel will show the process from start to finish of etching a design into metal, as well as some basic finishing techniques. The process, using a simple salt water bath and regular batteries, allows one to etch metals such as brass, copper, nickel silver, bronze, and steel. Each step will be shown via photos, video, and live demonstrations. A question and answer session will follow the demonstration. All of the materials used in the demonstration will be listed, and are safe to use, commonly available, and inexpensive.
